Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez, who finished second on the popular singing contest ‘American Idol’ in 2012, made a triumphant return as a contestant on ‘America’s Got Talent.’
Now 29, Jessica told the audience that she joined the first season of “AGT” when she was a little girl. She only reached the semis. The singer said she was devastated when she got eliminated, but the experience pushed her to sing more. But now she’s back.
“It took me 20 years, but I know exactly who I am and I know exactly what I want. I. I’m excited to be back,” she told judge Simon Cowell during an audition for the show.
Jessica also revealed that she’s now married and pregnant.

“I’m very happy for you,” Simon told Jessica. “Hope you do well. Good luck.”
Jessica belted out a rendition of “Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone during the show.
After her performance, judge Sofia Vergara gave Jessica a Golden Buzzer. This means that the singer would advance to the live show.
