America’s Got Talent: Young Min Performs Mind-Bending Magic With Sand

On the July 2 episode of “America’s Got Talent” Season 19, the judges will meet Young-Min, a Korean magician who wows Simon CowellHowie MandelHeidi Klum and Sofia Vergara with his never-before-seen sand act. Will he go on to become the next magician to win NBC‘s reality TV show, following Mat Franco (Season 9), Shin Lim (Season 13) and Dustin Tavella (Season 16)? Watch Young-Min’s performance above in this week’s “AGT” sneak peek video.

Set to the song “Wicked Game” by Ursine Vulpine & Annaca, the young magician keeps the audience members on their toes by manipulating sand to become solid as a rock and then transforming it back into tiny grains. At the conclusion of his unique routine, Young-Min turns sand into a metal ring and then it erupts into a sandy shower, sprinkling him with glitter from head to toe.

“I think it was mesmerizing,” raves Sofia. “It was very different. It was very dramatic. And you have created something unique.”

Heidi chimes in, “I loved it, too. It was just so calming and it was beautiful to watch.”

Howie notes, “I agree. I have never seen anything like this. ‘AGT’ and this stage is a great home to magic. We’ve had many winners, and I feel that you’re in that same echelon.”

Simon puts a sour note in the discussion when he declares, “From where I was sitting, I wasn’t mesmerized. I thought something huge was gonna happen at the end. However, I’m gonna air on the side of positive. So I’m gonna say yes.”

All four judges give the magician a “yes” vote, sending him through to the next round. Do YOU think Young-Min is on his way to the winner’s circle? Sound off down in the comments section.
