Performing his own original song \u201cParadise,\u201d the New Jersey native wowed the crowd with not just exceptional songwriting skills but also an incredible stage presence and vocal ability that belied his young age.<\/p>\n

As he began to play the opening notes of \u201cParadise,\u201d the room fell into a hushed anticipation. His voice, soulful and rich, had a haunting quality reminiscent of\u00a0Lana Del Rey, drawing listeners into his imaginative world of \u201cpurple clouds\u201d and \u201cautomatic lullabies\u201d.<\/p>\n

The judges\u2019 reactions were unanimously positive.\u00a0Heidi Klum\u00a0was the first to speak, telling Journeyy, \u201cI\u2019m very impressed by you. Nine years old, your parents must be super proud of you. I\u2019m proud of you. I hope you\u2019re proud of yourself. Very well done, you have a beautiful voice.\u201d Journeyy\u2019s parents and sister stood in the wings, wiping tears away and nodding in agreement.<\/p>\n

Sofia Vergara, clearly moved, stated, \u201cI love you,\u201d prompting a giant grin from the young talent.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think this season we have so many cool kids. Super cool kids, you\u2019re one of them,\u201d she enthused.\u00a0Howie Mandel, always ready with a quip, joked, \u201cA long time ago, I was nine years old for almost a year, and I think you\u2019re amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simon Cowell, often the toughest critic, was full of praise. \u201cYou\u2019ve just got it, haven\u2019t you? I love hearing people write their own material. It\u2019s a glimpse into who you are, and I really like you. Great things are going to happen to you. I can feel it.\u201d He added, \u201cYou are somebody who has a God-given talent. And it\u2019s rare.\u201d<\/p>\n

The impressive performance not only earned him a standing ovation but also four enthusiastic \u201cyes\u201d votes from the judges, securing his place in the next round.<\/p>\n

Journeyy\u2019s path to \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent\u201d was not just a lucky break. Simon Cowell revealed that one of his friends had discovered Journeyy\u2019s talent online and recommended him to the show.<\/p>\n
